Chapter 01

Overview

Krieghoff showed the Semprio’s in-line repeating system at the IWA in 2007, and it is the only repeater in a catalogue otherwise made up entirely of break-action guns. The point of it is that the hunter reloads without taking the rifle off the shoulder or changing grip.

Chapter 02

How it works

Instead of a bolt coming back, the whole front of the rifle — forend, barrel and scope — is pushed forward and pulled back to cycle, unlocking a seven-lug bolt, and the Combi-Cocking Device on the tang cocks it only before the shot. It is a true take-down that parts in two without tools, with a 55 cm barrel, a 4+1 magazine in standard calibres and a weight of about 3.4 kg.

Chapter 03

Variants

Standard calibre in .223 Rem., .243 Win., 6.5×55 SE, .270 Win., 7×64, .30-06, 8×57IS and 9.3×62, plus .308 Win. in a 50 cm barrel; Magnum calibre in 7 mm Rem. Mag. and .300 Win. Mag. with a 63 cm barrel and 3+1; and a Compact with a 45 cm barrel, with thumbhole stocks offered. Barrels swap as complete assemblies with the forend, the bolt head and magazine changing by calibre group.

Chapter 04

In the field

all4shooters found it at home on driven hunts, where both hands stay put and the reload is a light push and pull of the forend, and called it a really good choice for mountain hunting too. The standard rifle carries driven-hunt open sights with luminous elements.
