Chapter 01

Overview

Introduced at IWA in Nuremberg in 2016, the F16 is Blaser’s second over-and-under, built around the lowest receiver in its class and aimed at hunters and skeet shooters alike. Game and Sporting versions split it between the field and the range.

Chapter 02

How it works

The low monocoque receiver drops the centre of gravity for a quicker point, and inside sit the Inertial Block System against doubling, ejector springs that rest decocked, and the Triplex bore with an 18.65 mm overbore. It is certified for steel shot, and all4shooters measured the trigger at 1,650 g.

Chapter 03

Variants

F16 Game, in 12/76 or 20/76 with 71 or 76 cm barrels, and F16 Sporting with balancer weights in the stock and on the barrel and an adjustable trigger blade. Intuition versions are stocked for women, and the Luxus and Baronesse grades add relief engraving.

Chapter 04

In the field

The Game is the hunting gun, about 3.1 kg in all4shooters’ test against just over 3.6 kg for the Sporting, and Blaser’s own film of a duck hunt in Sweden carries it with the F3. Steel-shot certification lets it shoot non-lead loads over water.
