Chapter 01

Overview

Blaser’s single-shot break-action rifle turned thirty in 2025, which puts its launch in 1995. Blaser sells it as hunting in its most elemental form — one barrel, one shot — in a rifle kept as light and compact as it can be made.

Chapter 02

How it works

The barrel locks with Blaser’s tilting block, which carries the firing pin and lifts out in two steps to be stored apart from the gun. A manual cocking slide keeps the striker uncocked until just before the shot and working the locking lever decocks it; the scope sits in a saddle mount over the chamber so the barrel floats, and exchangeable barrels keep their zero once set.

Chapter 03

Variants

The wood-stocked K95 and K95 Luxus, the thumbhole K95 Success (also with leather inlays), the K95 Black Edition, the compact K95 Stutzen for mountain hunting, and the synthetic thumbhole K95 Ultimate, including the carbon-stocked Ultimate Carbon NX. Barrels come round, octagonal or fluted, and the calibre list now reaches 6.5 PRC.

Chapter 04

In the field

Blaser builds it for physically demanding hunting: light, compact and ready to fire in seconds, with the Stutzen for the mountains and Blaser’s own film showing a K95 on reindeer in Norway. The tilting block and its firing pin lift out in two steps to be stored separately, Blaser’s answer to unauthorised use.
