Chapter 01

Overview

Launched in 2003, the F3 is the over-and-under that carried Blaser from the rifle market onto the clay range, and it is built for both competition and the field. Blaser says it has been programmed for intuitive shooting for more than two decades.

Chapter 02

How it works

A purely mechanical selective single trigger breaks at 1,400 g regardless of recoil, with an Inertial Block System against doubling and the barrel selector ahead of the blade. The Triplex bore pairs a 2.5° forcing cone with an 18.65 mm overbore, ejector springs rest decocked in storage, a solid locking wedge closes the action, and balancer weights in stock and barrel tune it to the shooter.

Chapter 03

Variants

Competition for sporting, Compak and Olympic skeet; Supersport with an adjustable rib for FITASC, sporting and Olympic trap; Supertrap; and the raised-rib Vantage. Blaser has also built it as the F3 Game and in 20 and 28 gauge, and it comes as a true left-hand gun.

Chapter 04

In the field

In the field Blaser leans on its pointability and balance, and its own film of a duck hunt in Sweden carries the F3 alongside the F16. It is designed and officially proofed for steel shot, which is what lets it go out over water with non-lead loads.
